Tools: 4 mm hex key, torque wrench (2 Nm), medium-strength thread-locking compound, material for the electrical connection. Fitting and connection by a specialist workshop only.
The procedures at KBA and TÜV have been applied for, are under way and are close to completion. Until approval is granted, we do not advertise with test marks or approval numbers. Samples for trials and sampling can already be requested; we will provide the documentation once approval has been granted.
Yes, if your plough has a marker pole or spring element with a max. Ø of 25.5 mm whose upper end is cut off square and deburred and whose upper 108 mm are straight and undamaged. This dimension is decisive, regardless of the plough manufacturer. If yours differs, please ask us.
It is connected to the switched, fused on-board voltage and lights up together with the parking light. The cable (1.5 m, 2-core, open end) is permanently connected: red to positive, black to earth. Reverse polarity and overvoltage are protected against. Operation only at 22–37 V DC (current consumption 125 mA), not on 12 V. For detachable ploughs we recommend a waterproof plug connector at the plough mounting.
Fitting and connection are carried out by a specialist workshop, one rod per side of the plough on the outer marker pole. The illuminated area lies 278 to 778 mm above the end of the pole; the component height is chosen so that the prescribed height above the road surface is maintained.
White to the front approx. 70 cd, red to the rear approx. 5 cd, each with 500 mm of illuminated length behind an opal diffuser, in steady light. The values are guide values from our own measurement (lux meter, 1 m distance, darkened room).
Ingress protection IP6K9K, operating temperature −40 to +60 °C, UV-stabilised polycarbonate tube, adapter and end caps made of stainless steel 1.4401. Pressure washers at a distance of at least 30 cm and not directly onto the cable outlet. No solvents, petrol or oils on the polycarbonate.
The rod is maintenance-free and must not be opened. After the season, check the screws (2 Nm), cable and plug connection. A damaged rod (crack in the tube, moisture inside, defective cable) must not be operated any further. The statutory warranty applies; we will clarify replacement on a case-by-case basis.
We quote price and lead time on request, with tiered pricing for municipalities, dealers and plough manufacturers. You can download the data sheet and tender specification text (both in German) above under Technical data.
